French trained pastry chef Aurélien Decaix and Texas Native, Tala Decaix, met working at a small neighborhood bakery in Washington, D.C. Through a few eclairs, plenty of dropped cakes, and lots of google translate, the two created a bond that was forever. Aurélien and Tala relocated to Austin, Texas to open a french patisserie shop in America. Nougatine bakery specializes in artisanal pastries, bread, viennoiseries, and any other creative inventions.
